Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 akan dilaunching 21 Februari 2012

RIM, Ressearch in Motion mengatakan akan melaunching Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 pada 21 Februari 2012. Rumor ini mendekati kepastian setelah RIM sendiri mengatakan bulan februari beberapa saat yang lalu dan sekarang sudah mengatakan hari dan tanggalnya. Hal ini jelas dikatakan RIM dalam webcast untuk Developping Native Games menggunakan Blackberry NDK 2.0.

We just heard from three different long time readers (thanks Marc, Diego, & David) that RIM just confirmed that PlayBook OS 2.0 will launch on February 21st. They were all listening to the Developing Native Games with the BlackBerry NDK 2.0 webcast we told you about earlier today. During that call one developer asked RIM when the release date is for PlayBook OS 2.0. They answered back that “We’re planning on releasing OS 2.0 on the 21st.”

So that should clinch the fact that RIM is aiming for a launch on February 21st. I can’t wait!

Tablet layar 7 inch, Blackberry Playbook ini mengusung fitur baru:

1. Aplikasi email, calendar, dan kontak
2. Kemampuan untuk menjalankan aplikasi Android (Developer dapat memasukan ke BlackBerry App World)
3. Autocorrect dan teks prediksi
4. Kemampuan untuk mengontrol tablet PlayBook dari ponsel BlackBerry smartphone

RIM juga meluncurkan tablet PlayBook baru beberapa saat lalu. Namun PlayBook dengan OS 2.0 bertujuan untuk menginisiasi tablet 7 inch ini dengan dual core prosesor 1 GHz TI OMAP 4 dan resolusi layar 1024 x 600 pixel.

Tablet Blackberry Playboo dapat dibeli di BlackBerry Store seharga US $199.
